Self-adjusting Neck Jig

Set up the jig so that the clamping wheel is OPPOSITE the desired joint type (ie. if you’re cutting a mortise, the clamping wheel is under the dovetail slot as shown).
Set the depth of the two stop blocks to match the length of your tenon or dovetail.

Clamp the body in a body vise.
Install jig over the top of the
body, with the desired routing
slot centered on the body’s
center line, the tightening
wheel to the back. Tighten the
clamping wheel until the jig
is snug.

Route the joint cavity and you’re done!
